This privacy policy applies to my website www.kimthistlewaitecounselling.co.uk and services governed by this policy include: “Contact Me”, Chat and Gmail Services, but not Online Counselling Sessions where separate confidentiality statements apply (and forms part of my booking-in process).

WHAT INFORMATION DO I COLLECT ABOUT YOU?
Information you give to me directly.
I receive, collect and store any information you enter on my website (Contact me or Chat Services) or via Gmail. Examples of personal information include name, email address, contact number, personal message.
Information you give to me indirectly.
I store data about your visit/s to my website, for example, your location data (City) and how you navigate around although this cannot be used to personally identify you.
HOW AND WHY DO I COLLECT INFORMATION?
When you conduct a transaction on my website such as sending a message or paying an invoice, as part of the process. Your personal information will be used specifically for counselling services and in order to comply with current Data Protection and General Data Protection Regulations.
HOW DO I STORE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
Kim Thistlewaite Counselling is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides me with an online platform that enables me to determine whether I can support you with your specific presenting issue. Your details (but not your presenting problems) may be stored through Wix.com data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by Kim Thistlewaite Counselling adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handing of credit /debit card information.
HOW DO I USE, SHARE, DISCLOSE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
I will only use your personal information for the purposes for which it was obtained in the first place. I will not share it with any third parties, and you will not receive any communications from other organisations. Unless I am legally bound to disclose, for example to further criminal investigation or to keep you safe if I believe you (or someone else) is at risk or serious harm or abuse.
HOW DO I COMMUNICATE WITH YOU?
I reply to you – via Gmail or Website Chat facility – once you have contacted me. If we establish a mutually agreeable timeslot, I will also make contact (again via Gmail or Chat) to process your booking. Booking process includes forwarding Confidentiality Statement, Invoicing, Zoom Links, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement.
HOW DO I USE COOKIES?
A cookie consists of information sent by a web server to a web browser, and stored by the browser. The information is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. This enables the web server to identify and track the web browser.
I may use both session and persistence cookies on my website. Session cookies keep track whilst you navigate the website and persistent cookies enable my website to recognise you when you visit. Session cookies will be deleted from your computer when you close your browser. Persistent cookies may remain stored on your computer until deleted, or until they reach a specified expiry date.
I do not use cookies to collect any information that could personally identify you. Neither do I use cookies to pass on any personally identifiable information to third parties.
